Saving and Naming Property Searches
These instructions are intended to help advanced home search users understand and use saved named searches. Saved named searches allow the user to enter their search criteria once, save it, and reuse the same search criteria any time they wish to while they are logged in.
Saving a Search
A user will first enter their advanced search criteria to build a search, then run the search to see the selected properties. Once they are happy with the results of the search they have set up, they will click on the Save Search button to begin the process of saving their search criteria for future use.
Naming the Saved Search
A small pop-up panel will be displayed, where the saved search must be named, and the user may set up automatic email alerts for the search. In the example below, The search has been named "Prairie View Comps", a simple search note has been entered, automatic email alerts have been set for daily, and the expiration date for the automatic email alerts has been selected. If this panel is not displayed, you may need to enable pop-ups for this site.
For your new saved search, enter the name you want to assign to it. If you want automatic email alerts for this search, click one of the daily, weekly or monthly option buttons, depending on how frequently you want to get the emails alerts.
Once all entries have been completed, the user will click the Save Search button in this panel to actually save the named search and activate any automatic email alert selections. Automatic email alerts typically run overnight, after all new listings for the day have been downloaded to this site, and will be in your email in box each evening. Obviously, you must register with a valid email address in order for this to work! If you change your email address at any time, be sure to change it in the "My Info" tab, so you will continue to get the alerts you have requested for each saved search.
