About Conservatory at the Plains Subdivision Single Family Homes

Conservatory at the Plains is a residential single family home community located in the eastern Aurora metro area, just west of E-470 at E. Hampden Ave and Conservatory Pkwy. Homes in The Conservatory at the Plains include a high percentage of single story ranch style homes, as well as a majority of two story homes.

All Conservatory at the Plains owners have access to a recreation center and seasonal outdoor pool. HOA fees are relatively low, but there is a Conservatory Metro District with additional taxes that make this community’s annual costs relatively high, compared to many nearby subdivisions.

Home Builders in Conservatory at the Plains

Homes in Conservatory at the Plains west of Conservatory Parkway were built by DR Horton from about 2004 to 2011. Homes east of Conservatory Pkwy and south of E. Eastman Ave, south of the K-9 school, were built by Richmond American Homes, and are distinguished by larger lots and concrete tile roofs. Homes in Conservatory east of Conservatory Parkway and from E. Dartmouth Drive north were built by other smaller home builders, including Holiday Homes (now out of business) and Carapace Homes. New homes are currently being built on the few remaining “in-fill” lots on S. Lisbon Way and E. Brunswick Place by Richmond American Homes.

Lennar Homes has been working on grading, utilities and infrastructure construction on the final remaining large parcel across the street from the K-9 school on South Conservatory Parkway. Construction is currently underway on the Lennar model homes on that parcel. Price range for these new homes is unknown. However, builder base prices for new homes in Conservatory at the Plains are expected start in the low 300s, up to the middle to high 400s, depending on the builder and options selected. Three car garages will be available on a few select lots, and the builders can finish basements for the buyer.
