Ron’s Professional Background
Ron’s “value added” for his real estate sellers and buyers, is his extensive expertise in information technologies, computers, the Internet, and online marketing, all key skills required for success in today’s tech-savvy real estate marketplace.
Ron served in the US Air Force from 1968 thru 1972. After his military service, he returned to San Antonio, Texas. While working full time in the computer department of a local bank, he also pursued an Associate of Science degree in Computer Science in the evenings under the GI Bill. Later, he owned and operated his own consulting business, Southwest Systems Support, representing several small computer hardware and software companies, and developing custom PC-based software for auto dealerships.
In 1983, Ron sold his consulting business and moved to Denver, Colorado, where he worked for a company that developed a PC-based loan origination system that allowed bank branch staff to originate personal and mortgage loans in minutes. Ron continued to work in computer software management, development and support for banking, finance, and loan origination and servicing applications in Denver, and after moving to Jacksonville, Florida in 1991.
In 2001, Ron left the IT industry and earned his Florida real estate license. In 2003, he completed advanced real estate training for the National Association of Realtors® GRI designation, recognized as one of the most prestigious in the real estate industry.
In early 2004, he returned to Denver, where he is currently a Broker-Associate with Prudential Colorado Real Estate, one of the top real estate brokerages in the Denver and Douglas County area.
In addition to consumer real estate services in the Denver area, Ron also works with other real estate agents and companies in the USA and Canada, providing consulting services and advice on Google Pay-Per-Click (PPC) internet marketing for their real estate services.
Ron’s Family and Personal Background
Ron was raised in a military family, his father serving over 20 years in the US Air Force. As a result, relocation and adjustment to new environments and challenges has been a way of life.
He enjoys billiards, bowling, tennis, snow skiing, bicycling, sail boarding, boating and cruising vacations. Ron is also recognized nationwide as one of the most knowledgeable genealogists of the Goodman and related surnames, and has published his extensive genealogy research on his personal web site . Ron plays 8-ball and 9-ball billiards in local leagues. SCUBA is another of his interests, and he has many stories and photos of his SCUBA adventures to share on his personal web site.
